ABOUT An independent stylist based in Mumbai with an experience of eight years of being in the fashion and advertising industry, her portfolio ranges from editorial, commercials, ad films and celebrity styling. A masters’ degree holder in Journalism and Media Management from London, Nisha Kundnani came back to India in 2004 to take up a job at DNA newspaper. She covered the art beat and went on to write for the editorial/opinion page of the prestigious newspaper. In 2007, she joined the Hindustan Times as fashion head and later served as the Mumbai bureau chief on the Indian edition of the reputed French fashion magazine Marie Claire. Post Marie Claire, she went independent to pursue her career as a fashion stylist that includes over 100 cover editorial shoots and has since, consolidated her standing in the field of editorial, commercial advertising and celebrity styling. She is credited with styling Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, actress-filmmaker Nandita Das, filmmaker Kiran Rao, chess champion Viswanathan Anand and cricketer Rahul Dravid. The highlights of her career include styling Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao for the 61th International Berlin Film Festival, Nandita Das for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and Anushka Sharma for the Dubai International Film Festival 2011. Some of her popular advertising campaigns include for such brands as Canon, Nivea, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Tata Manza, Airtel, TVH, Reliance, Tanishq, Titan and Parachute many among others.Her aesthetic sensibility is a unique blend of grace and minimalism, rendered in a manner that retains the individual’s personality and make him/her appear effortless. She values ‘relatable’ fashion over ornately conceptual and that gives her work a wider appeal. She offers a vivid range as a style curator.
